With Nanashi in control of drawing the map, it was likely the party would get nowhere with this Mission. However, no one seemed to be aware of his tricks, including the guards.
Seeing the party still standing around, the guard to the East piped up, and motioned to the path behind him.
"The other Explorers tell me there's a big orchard down this way, but lots of monsters." Hearing his comrade speak, the guard to the North also commented on his path.
"Yeah, and apparently you can find the way to the next level from here." The guard to the West stayed silent. He felt that giving away what was down his path was cheating. The party would see for themselves. Besides, other Explorers hadn't said much about his path anyway. It must have been pretty boring...

Raised to lead a group of soldiers...? Saya was excited to hear that, because it meant that Himeko was like her, in a sense. Saya had been raised to do the exact same thing, just she wasn't sure he was capable of it then. And it seemed to her that Himeko had more experience leading troops than she did. Besides that was the fact that she was a little girl, even she realized that, and no matter how skilled, strangers would be rather hesitant to have a little girl as their leader. The girl glanced at Nanashi when he was told to draw the map, and clearly wasn't sure that was the best of ideas. He WAS a ninja, after all.
"You do sneaky and illegal stuff, of course!" she said in response to Nanashi's question. What a silly guy, that one. He was a ninja, he had to know what people thought they did, right? Just positively silly. Shaking her head, Saya was about to turn her attention back to the road when Himeko fell back and spoke to her. The little Shogun glanced over at Mercy, since she seemed to be talking with no one, before looking upwards at Himeko. "Hm? Oh yes, yes I am! My grandfather has taught me all about how to be one. The honor and pride of them, the swordsmanship they show. All of it," was her answer.
The guards all gave their little talk then, save for one. So. Essentially they had to choose between going down a path that guaranteed to have a ton of monsters, going down the path that held the exit, or an unknown path. "I vote the west path. We can't go down the north path, not until we explore the rest of the floor, and at this point, I don't think we're prepared to tackle a large group of monsters, so the east is out as well."

If he wouldn’t do it she just had to do it herself eventually tough she hoped that he would be okay with that. They were one member short and everyone would have to do some extra work. Himeko carefully listened to what the guards had to say to her and just nodded. So they could choose which way that would go, that sounded interesting enough though she had to make this decision again. Himeko sighed and carefully reviewed the facts in her head again. They couldn’t go east because the group was still a little bit shaky and maybe a few fights they would just be the right thing to get everyone together and mentally prepare them for something bigger. “I agree with Saya. We can’t go east right now. Let’s go north and find that way down first. I will be important to draw that ON THE MAP.” Himeko really stressed the last part of her sentence and looked to Nanashi. Even if he could draw that map from later he sure should at least make a sketch. Himeko sighed and was about to rip that map out of his hands but she would at least give him a chance. “Let’s go.” She said and passed the guard to walk north. The others would hopefully follow her along the way and won’t complain too much about her plans. Himeko didn’t plan to go to the next floor but the queen would probably like to have that stairway marked on her map.
